Legal work is document work under special conditions.

Professional secrecy

Client information is subject to professional secrecy. Service providers may only be given access under the conditions of § 43e of the Federal Lawyers' Act (BRAO). That is a reason to process documents on your own devices.

Deadlines

A missed deadline can lead to liability claims. Recording deadlines from incoming court mail is routine work that still needs a second look.

Volume

Contracts, pleadings, exhibits: much of the work is finding the relevant passages in long documents.

Our first LegalTech projects, in 2019 and 2020, digitized contract management, deadline monitoring and case files on enterprise BPMN platforms. Our document services later stamped exhibit bundles with page numbers and case references.

    Deadlines from incoming mail

    Court mail arrives by post and electronically and has to be checked for deadlines.

    Recognizes court mail and reads the dates and deadlines set in the document.
    System
    Proposes the preliminary deadline and the deadline according to your rules, from the recorded date of service. Proposal and confirmation stay in the history.
    Human
    A person confirms the entry before it counts.

    Contract review on your own devices

    Term, termination, liability and place of jurisdiction, read from contracts according to a schema you define.

    System
    Processing happens on trusted Macs in your organization. The Relay in between cannot read the content.
    Human
    The lawyer assesses the result; each value comes with the page and passage it was taken from, or is marked as unverified.

    Assembling exhibits

    Exhibit bundles for pleadings are merged, numbered and stamped with page numbers and the case reference.
